Below are examples of some of the work we have done using Solidworks, COSMOSWorks and 3DS MAX. The plastic injection molding machine was designed by a Senior Mechanical Engineering Design Team. Proper sizing of the steel components was accomplished by performing static stress analysis using COSMOS. The assembled machine is currently being used to make prototype plastic parts at the CETL. Other design examples shown include a decorative grill with various inserts that are being used for metal casting patterns, examples of finite element analysis (FEA) investigation of a mechanical assembly, and photorealistic rendering of a CAD model.
